Towers collaborate with producer and filmmaker Jamal Rahman for their third single. There’s lots to like about this: the visuals, the synth, that bass line.
For me, the best thing about this song is what it says about Towers as an act. Each Towers song sounds extremely different. Their first single, Andheray Main, is synth melancholia. (I particularly like their performance of it for the Smog City Sessions.) Their second, Filhaal, is modern funk. This third single, Seedhi Baat, pulls in elements of electronic dance music with some rap as well. This versatility and growth asserts the band’s artistic depth and vision. I’m excited about the promise of future recordings.
