2023 saw Pakistani musicians releasing not just singles, but albums. We talked about this trend in a recent podcast episode. But to identify just how strong the output of the industry is at the moment, we compiled a list of albums released in 2023.
It is likely that this list in not exhaustive. Compiling this sort of list is complicated by the fact that some artists, especially of traditional Eastern genres, do not always use correct metadata. So it can be difficult to identify exact release dates of some material.
The list below is split up into full-length LPs and shorter EPs. We’ve tagged each album with release dates, genres and subgenres.
