I’m amazed at the number of songs that can be classified as big hits. If you’re following this on YouTube, you may be able to see the number of songs with hundreds of thousands of views. See songs by AUR, JANI, Anamta Sabri, Bayaan, Talha Anjum, Sohail Khurshed, Natasha Baig, Wahab Bugti, and Umair. If some of these names are unfamiliar to you, you get my point.
This list has qawwali, hip hop, indie, record label productions, cross-border collabs, studio, live, classical, and electronic. I’ve been harping on about the diversity of the Pakistani music scene right now. And this month’s list is further evidence of it.
