It’s interesting to compare this song to Amrit, one of Meesha’s songs from Velo Sound Station last year. It is possible to see how roots of the same events lead to the emotions in both songs. Amrit is also rousing, but in a more introspective way. In Hot Mango Chutney Sauce the wordless vocal searching is replaced with lighthearted rap. The adjustment in tone frees Meesha from the chains which are literally and figuratively alluded to in Amrit.
