Friend of the show Natasha Noorani has a new video out, with some iconic imagery.

Natasha described the video’s imagery to me as a transition between her previous EP Munaasib, and her upcoming work Ronaq. She directed this video in collaboration with Abdul-Rehman Malik (who also runs the great website Mosiki and accompanying podcast). If you’re interested in Hamnawa, you’ll probably like Mosiki.

Shorbanoor (formerly of Poor Rich Boy) features on vocal and guitar. Natasha describes Shorbanoor as “one of the biggest artists” for her over the past decade, and so finds the fact that he is featuring on her track almost sacrilegious. In fact, his subtle yet obvious presence lends a literal and metaphorical harmoniousness.
